Jaguar Car Warranty Explained
The peace of mind that comes with a good warranty can have a big impact on vehicle buying decisions. It’s a major factor when shopping for a pre-owned vehicle, and even when buying new, a significantly better warranty can steer a buyer from one model or manufacturer to another. Jaguar’s EliteCare program is an exceptionally good one, so we put together a guide to explain the benefits.
Jaguar EliteCare Warranty
There is a lot to Jaguar EliteCare beyond the warranty, but it’s still a good place to start. The warranty, as with the other parts of EliteCare, is fully transferable to a new owner, good news for those shopping pre-owned. There are two different types of EliteCare warranties:
- New Vehicle Limited Warranty – This is the coverage that comes with every new Jaguar vehicle. At 5 years or 60,000 miles, it leads the segment.
- EV Battery Warranty – Currently, this part of the warranty only applies to the I-PACE. It covers the EV’s batteries against dropping below 70% capacity for 8 years or 100,000 miles.
Jaguar EliteCare Scheduled Maintenance
Manufacturers have been increasingly offering complimentary routine maintenance with the purchase of a new vehicle. This can vary quite a lot from one manufacturer to another, but Jaguar is definitely ahead of the rest of the segment. The EliteCare scheduled maintenance period is the same as it is for the warranty, 5 years or 60,000 miles. This, while most manufacturers offer only a year or maybe 2, and some don’t offer anything.
Jaguar EliteCare Roadside Assistance
The only thing better for peace of mind than a good warranty is good roadside assistance coverage. Fortunately, Jaguar EliteCare comes with both. Roadside assistance is complimentary for the same time period as the warranty, 5 years or 60,000 miles. You can call for assistance at 1-800-4-JAGUAR (1-800-452-4827).
Jaguar InControl
Not a warranty or a protection plan, but InControl is still an important part of a new Jaguar vehicle. This is a suite of connected services like streaming music, navigation, and remote engine start. These are typically paid subscription services, but new Jaguar vehicles come with five years of service included with the purchase.
