In a market dominated by SUVs, the XF is proof that Jaguar can still build an excellent sedan that will satisfy the purists. Standard rear-wheel drive, an eight-speed transmission, and class-leading handling are a formula for exactly what a sedan in this segment is supposed to be. The base engine produces 247 horsepower, and optioning up to the 296-horsepower engine also comes with all-wheel drive. An S model has been offered, but not for every model year. This comes with a 380-horsepower supercharged V6, the most powerful offering for the XF.
The interior is large and extremely comfortable. Premium materials are used throughout, and newer models come with Jaguar’s Pivi Pro system on a large 11.4-inch curved touchscreen. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are available, and the stereo offerings are all excellent. Lastly, the XF is priced very competitively against its German rivals, and standard equipment is better as well.
