The first thing you probably noticed in the comparison is the difference in price, with the I-PACE offering a noticeable advantage over the other two. That advantage is compounded by Jaguar’s clearly superior warranty coverage. This is an especially important advantage over the Tesla, where iffy build quality continues to be an issue.

Like the I-PACE, the Audi Q8 e-tron is an electric model from a long-established brand that also makes gasoline vehicles. The I-PACE is a bit quicker to 60 mph, and the Audi has a bit more range, but the average commuter isn’t likely to notice either. What you are likely to notice about these two vehicles is that the I-PACE is much better equipped, with a much better suite of standard equipment. There is just one trim level for the I-PACE, and most equipment is standard. Optioning up the Q8 e-tron to the equipment level of the I-PACE would cost roughly $10,000 more, on top of the already pricier base MSRP.

The Model X is even more expensive still, with the extra money going to trick doors and a quicker 0-60 time. Those are probably pretty cool for the first week of ownership, but assuming you mean to hang onto your vehicle for a bit longer than that, you’ll probably appreciate the leather seats in the I-PACE, or the versatility of being able to use Android Auto or Apple CarPlay. You’ll also probably appreciate the greater range of choices for paint, seating, and wheels. And while the Tesla does have a surround sound system, the no-name speakers aren’t MeridianTM like those in the Jaguar.

Of the three vehicles, the I-PACE is certainly the most well-rounded option, a well-equipped luxury vehicle that forgoes silly gimmicks. A vehicle you’ll actually be happy to live with.
